New home sales in Meridiana, a master planned community along Texas 288 at Meridiana Parkway in the Manvel area, rose by 70 percent in 2019.
The Rise Communities development south of Pearland recorded 267 new home sales in 2019, its highest annual tally since opening in 2017.

During the year, Meridiana opened its Park at Adventure Lake, offering a spot for fishing, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding, the five-acre Explorer’s Park and extended its trail system. A new Alvin I.S.D. middle school under construction within Meridian is expected to open in fall 2021.
In 2020, Lennar will offer townhomes in Meridiana, and Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes and Plantation Homes will open new model homes. Homes in Meridiana sell from the low $200,000s to the $600,000s.
