A Houston company has created a social media platform for sales professionals.

Closer's Coffee is a community that provides sales advice, encourages users to share their sales techniques and provides fantasy football-like competitions based on individuals' sales performances.

“The traditional way of motivating sales reps through compensation alone is no longer the most effective method,” Austin Rolling, CEO of Houston-based Outfield, the company behind Closer's Coffee, said in a news release. “We believe a community that allows you to compete with others in a mild way is the motivation people need to help push them forward, and Closer’s Coffee is the perfect environment for that competition.”

The content on Closer’s Coffee includes written and video content. The site’s signature show, called “Closer’s Coffee,” features interviews with business leaders or sports professionals to discuss the parallels between sports and business.

Outfield, a sales app and mobile customer relationship management provider, announced the launch of Closer's Coffee this week.
